* Piscataquis (pron: Pis. kat. uh. kwis) in Abnaki means "rapid waters."

* Piscataquis County, Maine, is one of the largest counties east of the Mississippi: 3,966 square miles.
* It is roughly twice the size of the State of Delaware.
