CHET will create a climate that supports economic development opportunities within a Piscataquis County creative economy.

CHET's objectives are:

1. to enhance collaborative efforts among Piscataquis County cultural-heritage developers
2. to promote the economic value of Piscataquis County's culture and heritage
3. to develop an increased appreciation of Piscataquis County's unique culture and heritage.

1. initiate a county-wide cultural-heritage networking meeting (CHETNET)
2. initiate dialog and work sessions with Piscataquis County's economic developers
3. initiate a Speakers Series that will
   1. highlight economic development opportunities within a creative economy
   2. highlight aspects of culture and heritage unique to Piscataquis County
4. initiate an annual award to be presented to a person or organization whose work best exemplifies local efforts to strengthen the Piscataquis County creative economy
5. launch a CHET web page that includes an updated web-based Piscataquis Heritage Directory
6. reorganize and implement a comprehensive Piscataquis County Cultural Heritage Curriculum for use in the county's primary and secondary schools
7. write and publish a social history of Piscataquis County to instill local pride among older audiences
8. partner with others to create a county-wide interpretive cultural-history tour (“Villages”)
9. build on past collaborations to create a second map of southern Piscataquis County which will feature cultural-heritage sites
